Yio Chu Kang EC plot have garnered many interest among developers. Despite the suppress market, the plot have attracted many high bidders in early 2016. Set to launch in mid 2017, YCK EC is no where near any MRT. However, there are no EC launches for a very long time in this mature HDB estate region. This translates to a rough breakeven cost of slightly above S$700 psf. Hoi Hup director have stated that their target selling price will be around S$800 psf on average. This indicative pricing may change and will depend on market condition during the time of launch. Coming in second is Nanshan Group Singapore at 6.1% lower than the top bid. Yio Chu Kang EC is looking to launch about 560 units, with majority of the unit will comprise of 3 bedrooms, followed by 4 bedrooms. The minority will be 2 and 5 bedrooms.

Analyst have stated that the absence of new EC supply in this region and surrounding Hougang, Serangoon, and Ang Mo Kio, have resulted in a competitively high bid among the developers. Thus, the demand and potential for take up rate will likely be positive.
