The top bid went to a 60:40 joint venture between City Development Limited (CDL) and a subsidiary of Hong Leong’s Intrepid Investments. They came in top at S$383.5 million, or roughly S$732 per square feet per plot ratio. It is projected that the site could yield up to 570 residential units for sale, based on a site area of 174,648 sqft. However, the joint development plans to build only 560 units.

    Surprisingly, the site only attracted a mere 5 bidders. Penrose boast some of the key attributes such as great connectivity, city fringe locality, and walking distance to MRT stations. Residents are able to travel to the Central Business District within 15 minutes drive, or travel to Orchard Shopping Belt.
